This kit comprises of a self healing, optically clear, durable paint protection film that is applied to the sole and / or the heel of a shoe to protect the painted sole / heel from damage whilst also providing unmatched grip and anti-slip properties. Originally created for, and most often used, on the famous ‘red soles’ of a particular French designer’s highly sought after and revered shoes, although the same technique can be applied to any flat soled shoe that requires protection and improved grip. Our unique Send & Return Kit is an ingenious solution to the problem of alternative ‘generic’ kits being ill-fitting and not providing enough coverage due to the multitude of shoe designs and various sizes available…
How To Do It: Simply place your order and we will send you a DIY design kit in the post which will include everything you need to ‘map out’ your exact shoe sole shape and size by following our easy-to-follow guidelines. Pop your design in the pre-paid return envelope and send it back to us – you only need to trace the sole (and or heel) of one shoe as we will mirror the design for the other foot and voila! Within 3-5 days you will receive a set of perfectly cut sole protectors for you to apply to your shoes… and that’s all there is to it!
Our paint protection film is very easy to apply as it is flexible and has an adhesive specifically designed for shoe soles so it can easily be removed and re-fitted if it takes you a few attempts to position it correctly. The glossy paint on your soles will not be damaged during the process.
Benefits: It is important to understand the limitations of the protection film in that it will not protect your soles entirely, forever and a day as this is simply not possible. However, it will protect your soles as much as is physically possible in order to retain the original finish and lustre and the resultant damage caused by walking on stone, gravel and concrete will be much less apparent and minimal in nature when compared with shoes that do not have sole protection. In reality, with our shoe protection film, you should be able to wear your shoes half a dozen or so times before the original leather sole paint is damaged beyond repair whereas, without it, your shoe soles will be damaged to the same extent on their first outing! By using our ‘exact fit’ send and return process, you are ensuring that the optimum coverage is achieved, however, by using alternative ‘one-size-fits-all’ products, in our opinion you might as well not bother as there will always be areas of the shoe sole that are not protected and the resultant localised damage will look far more unsightly!
